서비스프로토타이핑 연구실의 모델.

메리어트호텔의 이노베이션랩
메릴랜드 본사 지하2층 3백평 규모의 '비밀의 지하벙커'
"에어비앤비에 빼앗긴 고객을 찾아오자." 
새로운 사업 아이디어를 제안하는 공간, 이들 중 직원들 30명 이상이 지지하는 아이디어는 테스트 공간에 적용해 봄.
직원들은 여기 숙식해보면서 테스트하며 평가함.
여기서 채택된 아이디어는 실제 호텔에도 적용하게 되고 그 결과는 이용하는 고객들이 평가함.
서비스산업에서의 R&D 역할을 제대로 보여주는 사례.
